Decided I needed a little renovation so chose a new template and played with some colours - hope you like the result. Sometimes a change is as good as a holiday, especially on a nasty wet and cold day, LOL. However, I seem to have lost my "about me" description, drat. One day I'll learn to leave things alone !!

I like your new header Christine-very olde worlde.
I like the new look Christine - especially the little one feeding the kitten in the front. So cute!!
Thanks for the feedback on the new look. The header is a painting called "Miss Muffet's Birthday Party" by Maud Humphrey, 1894. I got her name wrong in the previous comment so had to start again.
I thought it was appropriate given my blog URL, LOL.
Just a little bit of trivia about this picture. The last girl on the right sitting on the stool with her hair up was my grandmother. Maude was commissioned by the birthday girl's parents to paint a portrait. Each of the little children seen in the picture were given a copy of this painting. My father was given the copy when his mother passed and it is in our home today.
Pamela, how wonderful to know some history of the painting, and I'm so envious of you having one in your home! My grandfather used to call me Miss Muffett and that was the first nickname I thought of when making my blog. However my own father called me Lady Jane after my middle name so that's my online name in costuming circles. Thanks so much for visiting and sharing the information with me.
